Face clock-in
Staff walk up and look at the tablet — no badges, no fobs, no shared PINs floating around. Recognition runs on the device itself, so it’s fast, private, and works even if the internet drops.

Liveness detection
A photo of an employee doesn’t fool it. Anti-spoof checks confirm a real person is standing at the kiosk before a punch is recorded — buddy punching ends here.

Every employee can also punch with a private 6-digit PIN on an on-screen numpad. Run face-only, PIN-only, or both — per location.

Every owner of an hourly crew knows the drill: someone forgets to punch, someone rounds up, and someone’s buddy clocks them in from the parking lot. A face-recognition time clock closes all three holes at once — the punch happens at the kiosk, it happens in a second, and it can only be made by the person actually standing there.
PunchBay does its recognition on the tablet itself — the match never leaves the device — with anti-spoofing that rejects a phone held up to the camera. Employees enroll with a proper consent flow, and every punch is validated by the server, so the record your payroll runs on is one nobody could bend.

Questions
How do employees clock in and out? +
They look at a wall-mounted tablet. On-device face recognition identifies them in about a second, shows “Hi, [name]” with their current status, and one tap clocks them in or out. Every employee also has a private 6-digit PIN as a fallback.
Does face recognition stop buddy punching? +
Yes — that’s the point. Liveness detection verifies a real person is at the kiosk (a photo or video on a phone won’t pass), and the face match identifies exactly who it is. Nobody can punch for a coworker.
Is the face data private? +
Recognition runs entirely on the tablet — face matching never leaves the device. Enrollment includes a written consent notice each employee reads, agrees to, and signs before their face is ever used.
What if the internet goes down? +
Recognition is on-device, so the kiosk keeps identifying staff. Punches are validated by the server, which also enforces the rules — no double clock-ins, no impossible punches.
What hardware do I need? +
One Android tablet per location, mounted where staff walk in. We help you pick one, and pairing it takes a QR scan. No servers, no wiring, no badge printers.
Can it run in multiple locations? +
Yes. Each tablet is bound to its location, and the roster reflects punches across all your kiosks — an employee’s status is consistent everywhere.
Is this a standalone product or part of a bigger system? +
