Case study — Alpha Nutrition

Live

A supplement shop that finally looks like the room.

Alpha Nutrition is a supplement and vitamin store in El Cajon where the staff actually train. The site had to hit as hard as the shop does — and answer the two questions every walk-in has before they drive over: are you open, and do you carry what I need?

01 — Alpha Nutrition

Loud on purpose.

Most supplement-shop websites are a stock template with a stock photo of a dumbbell. Alpha is a real room with real people in it, and the brief was to make the site feel like walking in — dark, heavy, high-contrast, unapologetic. "Fuel the beast inside you" is theirs, not ours, and the whole design is built to earn that line rather than undercut it.

The typography does most of the work. Oversized display headings, a scrolling category marquee, and a numbered product wall give the page the rhythm of a training session instead of a catalogue.

02 — Alpha Nutrition

Organised by goal, not by SKU.

A first-time buyer does not search for "isolate." They know they want to put on size, or lean out, or stop being sore. So the product wall is grouped the way the staff talk on the floor — Protein & Mass, Pre-Workout, Vitamins, Aminos, Fat Burners, Recovery, Creatine — with the brands underneath each. It gives someone a vocabulary before they ever walk in, and it gives the staff a page to point at over the phone.

Coaching and transformation get their own sections rather than being buried in a footer, because that is the part of the business a website can actually sell.

03 — Alpha Nutrition

The two questions that matter.

"Are you open?" is answered live — the header computes the current open/closed state against the shop's real hours instead of making a visitor read a table and do the maths. "Can I just call?" is answered by a click-to-call button that follows you down the page on mobile, plus directions wired straight to Maps.

The site is hand-built and static — no page builder, no plugin stack — so it loads fast on a phone in a parking lot, which is where most of these visits actually happen. Online ordering is scoped as the next phase.
