Case study — MP Wholesale
LiveA wholesale storefront that proves the route already exists.
MP Wholesale supplies snacks and drinks to independent stores across San Diego. Their buyer is a shop owner deciding whether a new distributor is worth a call — so the site had to answer "do you already serve my area?" before it tried to sell anything.

Selling to shop owners, not shoppers.
A wholesale storefront is not a retail one wearing a different hat. The visitor is a business owner with a shelf to fill and an existing supplier they are mildly unhappy with. They are not browsing — they are auditing. So the front page leads with coverage, stocking speed, and range, and the catalogue is organised by shelf category: chips, candy, protein, nuts and jerky, drinks, ice cream, and whatever is going viral this month.
The map is the pitch.
The strongest thing MP Wholesale can say to a prospective account is "we are already on your street." So we built a custom map section into the theme that plots every store supplied across the county, with the count animating up as it comes into view — currently 45+ across San Diego.
It is a single glance that does what a paragraph of copy cannot: it proves the delivery route already passes the buyer's door, which makes the phone call feel low-risk.
Shopify, without looking like Shopify.
The store runs on Shopify because inventory, accounts, and checkout are solved problems and the client should not be paying us to rebuild them. The theme is custom rather than a marketplace purchase, so the map section, the trade-focused homepage, and the typography are ours — and the parts that need to be boring and reliable stay boring and reliable.
Scope of the build.
- Custom Shopify theme
- Interactive coverage map
- Wholesale catalogue
- Trade-focused UX
